Transport at Thika

Thika Town does not have an airport, but is is served well by road network. A well maintained and undergoing expansion process road, ( Thika Road ) runs from Thika to Capital City of Kenya - Nairobi.

Nyeri - Karatina - Sagana - Makutano - Makuyu - Kenol route connect the town to the rest of the Districts at Central Province.

Matatus are much involved in transporting people from the working places/ farms to their homes. This vehicles are owned and managed by organizations such as Chania Services, MTN and others with are individually owned.

Taxi cars which are road worthy and secure are available at cheap prices. They are managed by owners and assisting managing organizations.

Bonda Bonda is also another means of communication operated by bicycles and motor cycles. It is mostly common to town dwellers since it is fast and flexible. They operate both at night and day time. Generally communication is fast and achievable in this town.
This is a site  that gives  the reader an insight how Thika Town  looks like. It is located at Central Province in Thika District. The town hosts  a number  of important Government  Offices as well as Non-Governmental Offices.

Also big producing and manufacturing  industries   are  located in this town.   Examples include B.A.T, Capwell, Kenblest, Broadway and  many others.

Prestigious Hotels which attracts alot of tourist such as Blue Post and December are found at this town.

Educationwise, Thika hosts two three great Universities. This are Mt Kenya University, Gresta University and lastly JKUAT University. Also Hostels with adequate facilities are available.  For more information view Thika Map....

It is also served  by a well infrastructed means of communication. By the construction of three lanes to and from Thika to Nairobi,It is expected that  the business community and populationis going to increase as well house rents.

In the town there exists an I.S.P by the name MBAMBU LIMITED.  It  servers both Large and small users of Internet.

Big churches in this town includes Destiny Worship, Gospel Outreach Mission, Redeem Church, C.C.I.T, Full Gospel and last Catholic but not the least.
