Thika Town does not have an airport, but is is served well by road network. A well maintained and undergoing expansion process road, ( Thika Road ) runs from Thika to Capital City of Kenya - Nairobi.

Nyeri - Karatina - Sagana - Makutano - Makuyu - Kenol route connect the town to the rest of the Districts at Central Province.

Matatus are much involved in transporting people from the working places/ farms to their homes. This vehicles are owned and managed by organizations such as Chania Services, MTN and others with are individually owned.

Taxi cars which are road worthy and secure are available at cheap prices. They are managed by owners and assisting managing organizations.

Bonda Bonda is also another means of communication operated by bicycles and motor cycles. It is mostly common to town dwellers since it is fast and flexible. They operate both at night and day time. Generally communication is fast and achievable in this town.
